Like you, I've often wondered why Hollywood hasn't used these amazingly dramatic, authentically true to life stories from the Bible as source material - with CGI etc., they would make such incredible and powerful viewing; but my guess is, the influential forces behind the movie industry don't want to encourage interest in Israel or increase the world's knowledge of its history - that might lead to an awareness of Israel's God and the awesome reality of fulfilled prophecy, whilst the sole purpose of the movie industry is to distract people and keep them in darkness.

I will never understand how anyone can believe in a LOVING God who needs a blood sacrifice to appease him.

It's simple, because that loving God exacted it from himself. He shed his own blood to save us.
